Kindergarten students in 001 and 003 have planned a food drive as a way to make their community a better place! Please send in your donation of shelf-stable food (cans, boxes, etc) by Monday 3/18. All food will be boxed up and delivered to Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry) by Kindergarten students and parents. All donations can be brought down to the table(s) by the lunchroom. |
Burley Fall Fun Fair
Friday, October 20th 6pm-8pm What to Know Before You Go! Main Entrance At West Gate (by Kindergarten doors/chicken coop) Suggested Entrance Donation $10 per family (cash or Zelle) at main entrance tables Activity Tickets Haunted House $2 per ticket Face Painting $2 per ticket Boo Bingo $2 per ticket (1 ticket per activity) Outside School of Rock performance in front of the fieldhouse Complimentary Chicago's Pizza slices courtesy of the Burley PTO Fall Hall Vendors (1st Floor) Get into the festive spirit with KidCreate, Tutu School, Three Avenues Bookshop, Lango Chicago & more! Fall Hall Activities (1st Floor) Trick-or-Treat stations, Temporary Tattoos & Face Painting (1 ticket per person for Face Painting) Haunted House Lower Level Enter at Northwest Doors (1 ticket per person) Lower-Level Lunchrooms Boo Bingo (1 ticket per person) & Movie Room for pumpkin decorating, cookies, popcorn & the film Coco (no ticket required)! Safety Announcement All children must be supervised during the event - this is not a drop off event. Costumes are welcome but please leave any weapons or masks at home. Due to the large crowds inside no strollers are allowed inside the school. Only the Ground Floor and 1st Floor are open during the event. Please make sure your children do not enter the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building. More Volunteers Are Needed We have a lot of new activities this year, mostly indoors! If you're able to help out for any of them, we'd really appreciate it! Please sign up to volunteer here. Spirit Day will take place once each month throughout the year. Each class will have the chance to vote on the monthly theme! Our eighth graders kicked it off in September with Pajama Day. What themes will be next? 7th grade: October 20, 2023 - College Gear Day 6th grade: November 17, 2023 - Sports Gear Day 5th grade: December 8, 2023 - Holiday Day 4th grade: January 8, 2024 - Tropical Day 3rd grade: February 8, 2024 - Crazy Hair Day and Pep Rally 2nd grade: March 22, 2024 - Dress like your favorite book character! 1st grade: April 12, 2024 - Stoplight Day! Oldest/Only - wear RED; Middle - wear YELLOW, Youngest - wear GREEN Kindergarten: May 7, 2024 - BACKWARDS DAY!
