We look forward to meeting with you on Wednesday, November 9, which is Report Card Pick-Up Day in all CPS elementary schools. This is an important opportunity for teachers and parents to discuss student progress. All families should plan to attend.

To ensure each family receives its allotted time, we use an online scheduling system. Please sign up for meeting(s) with your child's teacher(s) today. The online sign-up will remain open through Tuesday, November 8 at 12:00 p.m.

There is no school for students on Report Card Pick-Up Day.

Sign up online now at burley.youcanbook.me. You will sign up for one 10-minute slot for each meeting. Please leave 10-20 minutes between appointments and arrive promptly to help us stay on schedule.

Grade 6 parents: Schedule only with your child's homeroom teacher. During that time, you will meet with both teachers.

Doors open at 5pm this year so you can get home to cheer on the Cubs after the Fun Fair! There is additional detail in your email, but here are some important reminders:
 
Admission & Entry

• Prepaid wristbands will be distributed via backpacks this week. Wristband entry will be at the main front door.
• To buy wristbands at the door, enter through the rear doors at the east entrance. Admission is $10 per person (cash, check, credit cards). Children 2 and under are free.

 
Please note, for safety reasons:

• Adult supervision is required for children at all times. This is not a drop-off event.
• Toy weapons and masks are NOT allowed inside the school. Please leave these items at home.
• Strollers are NOT allowed inside the school on the evening of the event. Strollers may be parked and locked at the bicycle rack outside the main entrance.
• The Burley community park and playground is NOT to be used during the Fun Fair event.

 
Grand Prize Cash Raffle
Enter for a chance to win cash prizes of $500, $250 or $100! Tickets were sent home in backpacks and will also be available for purchase at the event. Not able to make it on Friday night and haven't yet turned in your Grand Prize Raffle tickets? Deliver them to the office marked "Fun Fair Raffle" through end of school on Thursday. Need more raffle tickets? Stop by the office!
 
 
Help is Still Needed!

• Volunteer! Can you help decorate or run activities? Please sign up to volunteer.
• Bingo Prizes Still Needed: Donate new or like-new games, toys, books and craft supplies in the donations box by the main entrance security desk through Friday.

Coffee Talk with Principal Plocher is Friday, October 21st at 8:30 am in the North Lunchroom.
 
This month Coffee Talk will have a special guest: Lake View High School Principal Paul Karafiol. Principal Karafiol will be talking about his vision and next steps for LVHS. Parents of all grades welcome! Come and hear about what is happening at our neighborhood high school, Lake View, and bring any questions you may have.
