Mr. Medintz teaches Science and Writing for 7th and 8th grade, organizes and leads annual student camping trips, and coaches various Burley sports. Although he previously taught pre-K, he chose to teach middle school because the students are so insightful and creative, and he especially loves seeing students have those "aha" moments. As a veteran member of our Burley community, he values watching students grow from Pre-K through 8th grade and seeing how much all of the teachers and students care about Burley.
As a child, camp was his life. As he got older, he knew that working with kids was what he wanted to do. He sought a career in teaching because watching kids learn new things, make connections, and strive just to do their best is very rewarding. He is committed to the environment and to serving others, and he has lived in Namibia as a Peace Corps Volunteer. In his spare time, he enjoys rock climbing, reading, hockey, and seeing movies.
