Halloween at Burley

On Thursday, October 31, we are looking forward to a great day of learning where regular routines and structures will remain in place. There will be some end of the day celebrations including a costume parade for our kindergarten and 1st grade students. While all students are welcome to wear costumes, it is important that they do not interfere with students’ learning experience. A few things to keep in mind with regards to costumes on Thursday. 

• Costumes must be appropriate for school, respectful, and safe. 
• Costumes should not prohibit students from participating in regular school day activities, including independent use of the washroom. 
• No look alike weapons, masks or face coverings
• No blow up costumes ​
  

Overall, we want to have a day that is the perfect mix of fun and learning - please help us to avoid costumes that could be considered offensive or disruptive to the learning environment. Thank you for your support! Please contact Principal Crall with any questions.
